Best Cooking Methods

  • Pan-Searing (The Fast Flip): Heat a skillet to medium-high with a high-smoke-point oil. Sear for 3–4 minutes per side. Because grass-fed beef cooks 30% faster, use a meat thermometer to pull the steak at 130F for medium-rare.
  • Slicing for Stir-Fry: Cut the raw steak into thin strips across the grain. Flash-cook in a hot pan for only 60 to 90 seconds. This method highlights the bold flavor of the grass-fed beef without giving the lean fibers time to tighten.
  • Pro Tip: The Acidic Tenderizer. Grass-fed sirloin responds beautifully to a brief 30-minute marinade of olive oil, cracked pepper, and a splash of balsamic vinegar or lemon juice. The acid helps relax the lean muscle fibers, resulting in a more tender cut on the plate.
